⚠️ Houston Nurse Issues Urgent Warning: STD Rates Surge Ahead of Spring Break & Rodeo

A Houston nurse has gone viral after dropping a blunt and eye-opening public service announcement about the city’s rising STD rates—just as spring break and rodeo season bring thousands into town.

According to her warning, the numbers are climbing fast:

  • Syphilis up 79% from 2025 to 2026

  • HIV cases up 17%

  • Gonorrhea & chlamydia up 32%

The most affected areas?
📍 Montrose
📍 Downtown Houston
📍 OST (Old Spanish Trail)
📍 South Union

And it’s not just isolated cases—the trend is hitting young adults ages 15–35 the hardest, right in the middle of the city’s most active social scenes.

Her message wasn’t sugarcoated.

“If you went to Houston for spring break… I hope you didn’t hunch nobody out there.”

That line alone has people talking—and sharing.

🧠 More Than Just Numbers

While the internet is reacting to the delivery, the reality behind the message is serious. Health experts have long warned that major events, nightlife, and increased travel can lead to spikes in STD transmission—especially when protection and awareness aren’t part of the equation.

Houston isn’t alone in this trend, but right now, the spotlight is here.
